SGIC 5-Day Minor Collision Repairs $100 Guarantee Offer

To reduce the amount of time your car is off the road after a collision, we’ve developed exclusive partnerships with some of the leading smash repairers in the industry who understand our customers deserve the highest standard of service and repairs. We call them SGIC Exclusive Repairers, because they only complete work for customers insured by an IAG brand such as SGIC.

We have such confidence in our Exclusive Repairers, if you have Comprehensive Car Insurance with SGIC and your car is safely drivable after a collision simply select one of our exclusive repairers when you lodge a claim and if the repairs take longer than 5 business days from the time you drop off your car, you’ll get $100*.

If your vehicle is safely driveable after a collision, all you need to do is:

  1. Lodge a Comprehensive Car Insurance claim online or over the phone on 133 233.
  2. While lodging your claim, book an inspection at an SGIC exclusive repairer – RPM Edwardstown or RPM Parra Hills.
  3. Attend the inspection at the SGIC exclusive repairer. This allows the repairer to assess what repair, parts and time will be required to repair your vehicle.
  4. Book your vehicle in for repairs at a time that suits you while attending the inspection or call the exclusive repairer when convenient.
  5. Drop your car off for repairs at the exclusive repairer for the time and day it is booked in.

If your vehicle repairs exceed 5 business days from the day you dropped it off at the repairer for repairs to commence, contact our claims team on 133 233. If you qualify for the $100 guarantee offer, we will request your email address and you will receive an email with further instructions within 2 business days. Follow the prompts in the email to choose from a $100 electronic funds transfer or select one $100 E-Gift Voucher from four merchants.

If your claim isn’t eligible for repair by an SGIC Exclusive Repairer, or it doesn’t meet the criteria for the $100 guarantee offer, don’t stress as we provide a lifetime guarantee for the workmanship on all authorised repairs. Lodge Claim

  1. Subject to these Conditions, SGIC guarantees that repairs for minor collision damage to comprehensively insured vehicles will take 5 business days or less from when those repairs commence – or you get $100 (Offer).
  2. The Offer only applies when all of the following circumstances occur:
    1. your vehicle is insured with SGIC Comprehensive Car or Comprehensive Plus Car Insurance (Insured Vehicle);
    2. your Insured Vehicle is involved in a collision and suffers damage;
    3. your Insured Vehicle is safely driveable / roadworthy after the collision (this means the insured vehicle was not towed from the collision scene and it is safe and legal to drive on Australian roads);
    4. you lodge a valid claim for collision damage to the Insured Vehicle with SGIC/ online at SGIC.com.au or over the phone on 133 233, on or after 14 May 2017;
    5. you book in an inspection of the Insured Vehicle with an SGIC Exclusive Repairer nominated and authorised by SGIC for your claim (includes RPM Edwardstown or RPM Parra Hills);
    6. the estimate for repairs (including parts and time) of the Insured Vehicle, as determined by SGIC following the inspection by an SGIC Exclusive Repairer, does not exceed $8000;
    7. you book in repairs of the Insured Vehicle for a suitable time and date with an SGIC Exclusive Repairer nominated and authorised by SGIC; and
    8. the repair period exceeds 5 business days from the day the Insured Vehicle is dropped off to the Exclusive Repairer for repairs. Repairs will be deemed finalised when the SGIC Exclusive Repairer contacts you (by SMS or phone) to advise that the repairs to the Insured Vehicle are completed.
  3. If you satisfy all the criteria in paragraph 1 above (and no exclusions in the following points apply), we will:
    1. contact you by phone within 7 business days of your repair period exceeding 5 business days, to discuss your eligibility for the Offer and to get your email address; and
    2. (upon you providing us with a valid email address) send you an email within 7 business days containing instructions on how to redeem your $100 EFT payment or $100 voucher from one of four retailers. Redemption of the $100 is subject to the applicable terms and conditions, which in relation to:
      1. a selected voucher, will be provided with the voucher upon download, or
      2. an EFT payment, will be provided during the online EFT payment redemption process.
  4. The Offer is available for a limited time only, and may be amended or withdrawn by SGIC at any time.
  5. The Offer only applies once per valid claim only.
  6. The Offer does not apply to:
    1. any vehicle which:
      1. is towed from the scene of a collision or is not safely driveable after a collision;
      2. is a motorcycle;
      3. has a TARE weight, prior to any modifications made after production, of more than 2750kg (including vans, utilities, tabletops and 4WD vehicles);
      4. requires specialist repairs or dedicated equipment, e.g. prestige vehicles or commercial vehicles;
      5. is a grey import, low volume or personally imported vehicle (yellow or green compliance plate), highly modified vehicles or has specialist custom finishes.
    2. any claim which:
      1. has a repair estimate exceeding $8000 (as determined in the sole discretion of SGIC following an inspection by an SGIC Exclusive Repairer);
      2. is for an incident not involving a collision, this includes but is not limited to incidents of impact damage (for example, a branch falling on your Insured Vehicle), theft, storm/hail, malicious or water damage and fire;
      3. as part of the repairs, requires a suspension component to be replaced;
      4. iv. as part of the repairs, requires any engine, transmission, differential or drive-train component that needs to be removed, repaired or replaced;
    3. any other SGIC insurance policy, which is not Comprehensive or Comprehensive Plus Car Insurance, including:
      1. Third Party Fire and Theft Insurance; and
      2. Third Party Property Damage Insurance.
      3. Business Insurance;
      4. Farm Insurance;
      5. Fleet Insurance;
      6. Motor Trade Insurance;
      7. Veteran, Vintage and Classic Car Insurance; and
      8. vMotorcycle Insurance.
  7. Information provided to SGIC may be used for the purposes of administering this Offer.
