The Private Health Insurance Code of Conduct (The Code) is a voluntary industry code developed by the Australian Health Insurance Association (AHIA) and the Health Insurance Restricted Membership Association of Australia (HIRMAA).
How the Code helps you
The Code has been designed to help you, by providing clear information and transparency in your relationship with your health fund. It can also help solve problems between you and your fund. The Code does not give you additional legal rights, but does outline dispute resolution options if you have a problem.
